To begin with my sculpting journey, I started with collecting easily found materials that I encounter every day. As an architect, I felt a deep affinity towards these materials due to their texture, colour, shape, and story. I used my intuitive and organic approach to my sculpting work. By simply combining various materials and observing their natural reactions and connections, I learn to read their meaning and sense their purpose. I log for minimal manipulation of my materials to express themselves purely and honesty for its ability to speak for itself. I approached my work with a sense of freedom and lightness. As the sculpture came out, I was surprised to see that my work turned out to be a new difference in energy and meaning, and it tricked me into wandering and exploring further. My first sculpture allowed me to realise my artistic vision and preexisted my perception.
